The kids did some more school work and then we went on a "hayless" hay ride at noon, which was a pretty neat way to see the park. This is where we met the lady and her kids.
You'd think the kids would be excited about all kinds of things on a trip like this, and they are, but nothing compares to the allure of the pool. They spend the next few hours at the pool and it was just the four of us. Later, we were told by staff that during busy weekends, like the upcoming Labor Day weekend, the park is packed and the people in the pool are literally all within arms-reach of each other.
We were planning on meeting Lauren in town when she got out of class at 5:00 for dinner, but we wanted to try to make the tie-dye station at 4:00 as well, so we took showers and got ready before hand. The kids got to pick out free t-shirts and loved making them.
I don't have any pictures, but we met Lauren at her apartment for a minute and then went to visit her pharmacy school, which was pretty sweet. It's very picturesque. We then ate at Freebirds, which the kids actually liked.
Finally, we got back to the park in time for an 8:00 outdoor movie (Big Hero 6), which was good. It was interrupted for me with laundry, but they loved it although they'd all seen it before. Moving on to Hot Springs tomorrow!
Tye dye, great souvenir! Jason loved that you worked it all in. Such a great Dad! Good shots too. MOM
