Thanks to those wild blueberries that Jacob helped pick, we finally got to enjoy that maple syrup that we bought with some blueberry pancakes and they were amazing. Of course, Brady's had chocolate chips instead of blueberries.
This morning was much slower than usual. Stacey cooked breakfast (and cleaned it all up) while I did seemingly endless laundry at the little laundromat here at the campground. I met a lady in there from Lufkin, TX, so that was pretty cool. While doing laundry, Stacey took the kids swimming again.
We obviously have to try lobster while we're here, but no one except Haley and I like it, so we're going to go for a lobster roll instead. Someone (I don't remember who) recommended C-Ray Lobster which is nearby, so we headed there to try it. We only ordered one, which was $18, and split it up six ways. Haley and I liked it, Stacey and Adria liked it, but not as much as we did, and Brady didn't like it at all. Jacob spit it out.
We headed into town to get lunch for everyone and found a not very memorable place. The place we wanted to go that was also recommended to us was a little fancy for us in our t-shirts and flip-flops. It was pretty pricey too. After that, you guessed it, we got ice cream again. This was at Ben and Bills (http://www.benandbills.com/index2.html), which was absolutely fantastic. Stacey got the chocolate tsunami and said it may be the best ice cream she's ever had. They offered lobster ice cream, but no thanks.
We headed back into Acadia for Stacey and Jacob's last day here and wanted to check out Otter Point. It is supposed to have huge waves smashing up against some rock walls that then shoot up into the air, but we were told that was really only during a storm. Nonetheless, it was beautiful and fun to climb around.
When we got back to HQ, Stacey took the kids swimming again and I ordered pizza from Rosalie's Pizza and it was really, really good. I know I've been saying that everything is amazing, but seriously, it was delicious. Stacey packed up Jacob's stuff before he went to bed, we put everything in the truck, and we tried to get into bed early. Their flight tomorrow is at 7:00 and it's an hour drive away, so we need to leave by 5:00 am at the latest. It's kind of a sad night.
It does look amazing all of it! Couldn't be any happier that you guys are doing this and including us as well- thanks for that. Bittersweet last day for Stacey & Jacob but great they were able to join you all. I see sweaters! Oh, the memories you will carry with you forever! Mom
